How did you get involved in art?
When I was about 10 years old I discovered that art was in me. I'd doodle here and there. I just couldnt stop drawing and sketching my mothers floral center pices.. they were everywhere! jeje. I'll Saved up my allowance to buy colors, pencils, paper from local stores to draw. When I entered High School I took my first art class, my second year of art I had a very creative and open minded art teacher Ms. Christensen, who gave me strength. She help me understand my art style and to never give up. I see alot of inspiration from Dia De Los Muertos, what else inspires you?
My Mexican background, childhood, their so many things that inspires me. My mind is flowing with ideas some of them I can see perfectly and others are waiting to be completed. I work from inspiration holding on to it.. squeezing every little drop of it and leaving it diffuse in my artwork Tell us about some of your favorite artists.
Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, Jose Guadalupe Posada, Botero, Picasso (blue period), Mark Ryden these are just some of them.
Your Rag Dolls are adorable. How long have you been making them, and tell us where to buy them.
I started making rag dolls on the halloween of 2003 for my niece Erica, she needed a rag doll for her Wednesday Addams costume and I havent stopped since. My dolls are completly handamde, making every single one of them unique in every stitch.

What advice would you give a young artist trying to get out there?
Find your own style. Find what's in you and follow that. Dont just do what everyone else is doing, pursue your talent and take chances. Dont give up and be patient.
